Speaking English clearly is easier than you think.
Do you have to repeat yourself too often?
Perhaps you've been speaking English for a few years now. You understand native English speakers pretty well. You're confident with your grammar and vocabulary and yet...people regularly ask you to repeat yourself.
Do you avoid conversations with native speakers?
You can tell when people don't understand you and you feel that they avoid having conversations with you.
Or worse, maybe you avoid speaking to others because it takes too much effort to make yourself understood.
Are you unsure how to speak English more clearly?
You may have an idea why people have a hard time understanding you, but you don't know how to make the changes you need to improve your English pronunciation.
Do you think if you eliminated your accent, life would be easier?
It's time to think about English differently.
It's not important that you have a native-sounding English accent.
What is important is that you speak English clearly, so that you are understood every time you speak.
There are many different "native" English accents. Each one sounds different. But, they all share the same underlying rules.
I teach you these rules so that you speak with the rate, rhythm, intonation and speech sounds that your listener expects from an English speaker.
You will learn to hear and speak English in a way you were never taught in school.

What clients are saying
Karen is a true professional Speech-Language Pathologist/ Accent Specialist. Clearly, she is knowledgeable on every aspect of English training and specialized in pronunciation correction.
I love the concept of speaking she introduced - break a sentence into different functional groups, each group has a keyword, and each word has a key syllable, not to mention all the tricks and tips on how to read S,Z,O,T, etc. Not only she taught the right pronunciations but advised English communication/culture.
The training was really enjoyable and fruitful. I recommend Karen Fowler.

I am very happy that my English pronunciation improved a lot after taking this pronunciation program. Karen is a person who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her profession, and she is very patient and encouraging. Every week, I looked forward to see her for my pronunciation practice. She diligently listened to my English and learned what was causing me trouble to pronounce and taught me how to correctly pronounce those words.
Before starting the program, I was wondering if a pronunciation program was something I can find online and practice on my own. However, there were many things that I didn’t know about ... so individualized instruction by a professional like Karen is really key. I have learned a lot, and have tools and methods I can use now!! I truly appreciate her, thank you!!
"I've lived in the US for a while but still could not get rid of my Thai accent. So I decided to train with Karen. What I like about Karen is that she evaluated my accent and personalized the lessons to fit with where I needed help the most, and focused on that. Karen also went way beyond my expectations to help ensure my continued success even after the training had ended. She motivated me to continue practicing English and sent me more useful information to help me to become a much better speaker of English. Before taking her class, I thought it would be hard to learn to speak English like a native speaker when I came to the US as an adult. But now I know that, though I may not be able to get rid of my accent completely, people will be able to understand me much better than before I took her accent training class. By the end of my training, I had improved so much. I highly recommend her.
